These terms explain permitted use of SteamHardware.io, including Game Settings, automated access, cited sources, contributions, and technical controls.
These terms state the conditions for using SteamHardware.io. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
You may read and link to public pages, use normal browser features, use accessibility tools, and quote limited portions with clear attribution and a link to the relevant page. General-purpose search engines may crawl public HTML pages when they follow our published crawler instructions and technical controls.
Do not interfere with the site, submit misleading data, attempt to access private links or systems without permission, or use the service in a way that harms other readers.
Unless SteamHardware.io gives written permission, do not use bots, crawlers, scripts, headless browsers, or similar tools to bulk extract, mirror, republish, resell, or use Game Settings content to build or maintain a competing database or service.
Do not evade rate limits, access controls, firewall rules, crawler instructions, or other technical measures. Do not automate reports or submit false, manipulated, or duplicate observations. A public page, source link, or API response does not grant permission for bulk collection.
For permission to use material in another product or dataset, email admin@steamhardware.io with the intended use, fields, volume, and update frequency.
SteamHardware.io does not claim ownership of facts. Valve, Steam, game titles, publisher material, screenshots, source publications, and other third-party material remain subject to their respective owners' rights.
To the extent applicable, SteamHardware.io reserves rights in its original writing, software, visual design, and editorial selection and arrangement. Citations identify evidence; they do not grant permission to copy material from a cited publisher.
SteamHardware.io is an independent publication and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation.
The contribution terms and privacy details for Tracker and Run Scores reports are explained in Privacy. Submit only information you made or are authorized to provide, and do not include personal account, payment, shipping, or credential information.
Browsing public game settings, scores, and reports does not require an account.
Guest Run Scores allow one game at a time without an account, managed through one private collection link. Guest and Steam report collections stay separate. Steam library reports and their settings changes on Steam Machine, Steam Deck, and Steam Frame require a connected Steam account that owns the game. SteamHardware.io sends you to Steam's site for sign-in and never asks for or receives your Steam password, cookies, or credentials. We check game ownership before publishing or changing a Steam-linked report; this does not verify hardware ownership or performance, add a public badge, or change report weight. My Reports shows only reports linked to the connected account. Guest reports have their own private view and are not imported or merged on sign-in. Use of Steam remains subject to Valve's Steam Web API Terms and other Steam policies. SteamHardware.io is independent from and not endorsed by Valve.
Steam data and owned-games results are provided as-is and as available. We do not promise that Steam data is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SteamHardware.io is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from the Steam connection, Steam Data, or the Steam Web API. Nothing here limits a right or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Game Settings combines publicly anonymous reports, reviewed Community observations, and cited external evidence. Scores, medians, settings, and recipes describe the available observations. They are not controlled benchmarks, guaranteed results, official Valve guidance, purchasing advice, or a promise that a setup is best for every system.
Hardware status, availability, prices, software, and source material can change. Check the linked source and current official information before making a decision.
SteamHardware.io may throttle, challenge, or block requests that appear automated, abusive, unsafe, or inconsistent with these terms. We may change or withdraw public endpoints and may preserve limited security records as described in Privacy.
The site is provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted access, complete coverage, or error-free data. We may correct content, change features, or update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest published version.
