- No advertising partnerships
- No financial ties to Valve Corporation
- No financial ties to hardware manufacturers
- No equity or investment relationships with companies we cover
Revenue model
Steam Hardware Review is currently an independent editorial project. We do not monetize through advertising, affiliate links, or sponsored content.
The site may use privacy-light aggregate analytics when the production analytics environment is configured. Analytics do not control editorial placement, confidence labels, review verdicts, tracker estimates, or source labels.
AI-assisted artwork
Some article cover and hero images may use AI-assisted artwork as editorial illustration. These images are not product photos, screenshots, benchmarks, store captures, or evidence of hardware behavior unless explicitly labeled as such.
We do not use AI-assisted artwork to fabricate test results, UI states, product details, packaging, or availability. Editorial claims, review verdicts, compatibility notes, and hardware guidance are based on the source trails and reporting standards described in our methodology and editorial policy.
Personal ownership
Editorial staff may personally own Steam hardware (Steam Deck, Steam Controller, etc.) purchased at retail. Personal ownership of consumer products does not constitute a conflict of interest for editorial coverage.
Future changes
If our business model or financial relationships change, this page will be updated. Material changes will also be reflected in the relevant policy or article pages.
