What we cover

SteamHardware.io independently covers Steam Machine, Steam Frame, Steam Deck, Steam Controller, SteamOS, accessories, and game performance. It is not affiliated with Valve. Product names are used only to identify what we cover.

You can find articles, game compatibility reviews, device pages, an anonymous community tracker for reservation and delivery milestones, and a stock tracker based on official store listings. The site does not offer user accounts, newsletters, preorder alerts, site-run waitlists, or official product support.

Why this site exists

Official product pages do not always answer the practical questions people have. Reporting, community posts, software changes, and store listings can add useful context, but they can also create noise before the facts are settled. This site tries to make that gap easier to understand without pretending it is gone.

A clear unknown is better than a confident guess.

How we work

• Link important claims to their original source when one is public.
• Say what is official, reported by others, based on community reports, our analysis, or still unknown.
• Update pages when better information arrives or a factual error is found.
• Focus on Steam hardware, SteamOS, accessories, and games on Steam hardware.

What we don't do

• Publish fake preorder buttons.
• Treat retailer placeholders as launch confirmation.
• Present rumor pricing as buyer advice.
• Use Valve or Steam logos as site branding.
• Present the site as official.
