Independent site statement

Steam Hardware Hub is an independent publication covering Steam Machine, Steam Frame, Steam Deck, Steam Controller, and SteamOS hardware topics with source-labeled articles and practical context.

Steam Hardware Hub is an independent publication and is not affiliated with Valve Corporation. Product names are used to identify the subject of independent editorial coverage.

What is live today

The site currently publishes source-labeled articles, game compatibility reviews, device hub pages, a privacy-safe community tracker for Steam hardware milestones, and a stock tracker for official store availability signals. It does not currently offer user accounts, a newsletter, preorder notifications, site-run waitlists, or official support channels.

Coverage principles

  • Source-labeled coverage: We clearly label what's confirmed, reported, rumored, analysis, or unknown.
  • Source-linked updates: Major updates point back to the original source trail.
  • Independent coverage: Community-run coverage, not Valve messaging.
  • Steam hardware focused: We stay focused on Steam, Valve hardware, SteamOS, accessories, and game performance on Steam hardware.

Why this site exists

Official hardware pages are often short. Rumors, backend-code speculation, Reddit threads, and store changes can get loud before buyer-facing facts are ready. Steam Hardware Hub exists to be useful in that gap without pretending the gap is gone.

A clear unknown is better than a confident guess.

Editorial policy

  • Answer reader questions quickly.
  • Label the source confidence behind article claims.
  • Treat Valve, Steam, Steamworks, and official product documentation as the strongest source layer.
  • Label reputable outlet coverage as reported until official confirmation exists.
  • Keep community claims, estimates, datamines, and interpretation-heavy items separate from confirmed facts.

What we will not do

  • Publish fake preorder buttons.
  • Treat retailer placeholders as launch confirmation.
  • Present rumor pricing as buyer advice.
  • Use Valve or Steam logos as site branding.
  • Pretend this site is official.

Corrections contact

  • Send material factual corrections to admin@steamhardware.io.
  • Include the page URL.
  • Include the claim that appears wrong.
  • Include the source that supports the fix.
