The direct Steam Deck test averages about 40 FPS but varies from up to 60 to lows of 20 in swarms and about 25 in towns. The recommended 800p configuration uses FSR Ultra Performance, low-heavy settings, and a 38 FPS target; map text can be practically unreadable and some menus are cut off.

The author tested patch 0.1.0d over a week. Even at the lowest settings with FSR or XeSS Performance, towns fell into the low 20s or lower, a 30 FPS target dipped into the high 20s in multiplayer, and a 40 FPS target could fall into the low 30s during bosses while dynamic resolution visibly reduced image quality.

After playing on her Steam Deck, the author described the early game as playable and supplied a 1280x800 custom setup using FSR Quality, medium textures, low shadows and a 38 FPS target. Text remained small, and late-game effects had not yet been tested.
